Whether you say “Seasons Greetings,” “Feliz Navidad,” “Buon Natale,” or “Froehliche Weihnachten,” we want to welcome you to the Outer Banks this holiday season! Christmas is coming to town! Pretty soon all of the hustle and bustle will be making this area come alive with holiday cheer and we would love to see you. There are a lot of great things going on but we wanted you to know about one of our favorites, the Roanoke Island Christmas Weekend, so you could start planning now for a memorable weekend getaway.

The Roanoke Island Christmas Weekend, a favorite of locals and visitors alike, will be taking place December 3-4, 2016. It is THE event that kicks off the season in style and will get you into the holiday spirit—especially if you are one of those “bah-humbug” types! The Elizabethan Gardens, Island Farm, and the Manteo Preservation Trust have teamed up to put on this event, which happens to also coincide with the kick off of the WinterLights celebration. During this two-day celebration you will have the opportunity to enjoy singing and storytelling by the waterfront, a Christmas Parade downtown, a glimpse into Christmas in the 1850s at Island Farm, visits with Santa, and the Roanoke Island Holiday Tour where you can see beautifully decorated homes and attractions in Manteo and Wanchese.

If you are looking for the best place to enjoy the festivities of the Christmas season, look no further than the Outer Banks. We’ve got gorgeous weather, quaint shops, award-winning restaurants, and an abundance of outdoor activities to enjoy. Our charming and cozy bed and breakfast is the perfect choice for accommodations as well! Book online today or contact us anytime for more information.
