Outer Banks Kitesurfing: Cape Hatteras Wave Classic


Kitesurfing is an extreme sport that has been gaining in popularity over the years. It combines aspects of surfing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, paragliding, and gymnastic tricks all into one incredible, adrenaline-pumping sport. The Outer Banks has been affectionately called the “Kite Boarding and Wind Surfing Capital of the East Coast” so it is no surprise that it is the venue for the Cape Hatteras Wave Classic happening September 19-25, 2015.

The wave classic is an open competition so anyone is able to compete

There will be a wide range of talented athletes competing and the judging criteria is 50% wave riding, 25% tricks, and 25% overall impression.
