Manteo Farmer's Market - 2013

While you stay with us at The White Doe Inn, we know you will enjoy your breakfast each morning.  After breakfast on Saturdays, be sure to check out the local fare at our Manteo Farmer's Market.  Every Saturday morning you can explore locally grown produce, baked goods, fresh flowers, locally created arts and crafts - and much more!  The Farmer's Market is just a short walk around the corner at The George Washington Creef Park in Historic Downtown Manteo
Local produce is one of the many delights you'll enjoy at The White Doe Inn.  Our own Chef Jeffrey, who also visits the Farmer's Market to prepare your breakfasts, is looking forward to the early fall yields:

"Everyone is ready for the Island’s Muscadine Grapes … coming off the vine in late August and early Sept. The White Doe Inn has its own vine so if you have never tried them … just right outside in the garden area you can pick and eat to your heart’s desire. They are so sweet and delicious!"

Just to give you an idea of what you'll find while visiting the Farmer's Market, discover a variety of produce including radishes, melons, tomatoes, squash, leeks, herbs and much more.  Then you can find some amazing souvenirs for yourself or to take back home to friends such as hand painted art, pottery/ceramics, rugs, soaps, toys, canned salsa and jelly, and sweet things.

Check out the Farmer's Market every Saturday morning, during the season, from 8am-noon.  Enjoy!
