White Doe Inn Celebrates 4th of July on the Outer Banks, NC

What better place to be than on the waterfront watching the fireworks shoot over the waters of Shallowbag Bay and the Elizabeth II Ship? The Town of Manteo has a fun filled day with events starting on the waterfront at 2:00 p.m., including many musicians and contests. Of course the Manteo Waterfront is filled with unique shops and great eateries to please everyone!

Join us for the 4th of July at the White Doe Inn! Only a few blocks away from all the fun, leave your car and walk or take one of the Inn's beach bikes. Several rooms are available for the 4th only, don't miss it!

White Doe Inn on Roanoke Island to host a wine tasting of local North Carolina Winery, Vineyards on the Scuppernong

The White Doe Inn is hosting wine tastings on the back veranda featuring wines from Vineyards on the Scuppernong every third Friday of the month. The first wine tasting will be held June 24th, 2011 from 4:00 - 7:00pm. The Scuppernong grape, also known as the Muscadine grape, is a native to northeastern North Carolina and prized for its taste as well as an antioxidant.

Guests staying at the Inn during the 3rd Friday Wine Tasting events will enjoy a selection of wine and antipasti dishes featuring Bella Cucina from Italy. What can be better than enjoying unique food, wine and mingling with great people. We hope that you join us!

The Scuppernong Room at the White Doe Inn overlooks the Inn's own Scuppernong grape vine. Many an evening you will find Bebe Woody standing under the vine talking with guests or passing neighbors all the while enjoying the fruit of the vine.

White Doe Inn kicks off the Summer Season with North Carolina A&T State University’s Theatre Arts Program

Bebe and Bob Woody, owners of The White Doe Inn, have always been supporters of the Arts. "We love it that we are only a short walk to Roanoke Island Festival Park. Their Outdoor Pavilion hosts such a variety of music and theater, all right here in Manteo on the Waterfront" says Bebe Woody.

"Seating is on the grass lawn at the Pavilion, so make sure to grab a beach chair to take with you." explains Bob Woody "Experience a magical evening with live entertainment under the stars, make it even more romantic with one of our signature Picnics for Two. "

Featuring the National Award Winning Richard B. Harrison Players, the North Carolina A&T State University’s Theatre Arts Program will perform some of Broadway’s best in the Outdoor Pavilion on June 14,15 and 16 at 8 p.m.. As part of the Roanoke Island Festival Parks Performance Series, this is free and open to the public.
